The Mission - Samurai Nike Boss Sculpture by Marco Caruso
To kick off a new series I've been working on behind the scenes - The Forgotten Football Adverts. This new bi monthly mini-series will pay homage to some of the best commercials from the last twenty plus years, and to celebrate them in all their glory I will be teaming up with some of our community's finest creatives to bring you a range of limited-edition drops of merch and art to honor them in all their glory.
And where better to start than with on of the greatest soccer ads of our time - The Mission. The stacked Nike advert celebrated its 25th anniversary this week after its release in March 2000. To help me memorialise its greatness, I have asked a couple of my close football friends, Dan Draws & Marco Caruso to join me and work their magic on some football heist goodness for the first instalment.
A 1 of 1 hand made & painted sculpture of the samurai boss from the legendary Nike advert.
Standing at 13' Inches tall this ridiculously impressive piece of work by Marco really is something to behold. The samurai bosses arms can be moved into any giving position and the stand and samurai helmet can both be removed and interchanged.
What I would of done for this when I was ten years old when the advert first aired
* To make this fair game, we thought about the best way to offer you the chance to get your hands on this incredible one of a kind hand made model and both came to the conclusion that it was through a raffle.
So if you would like to possibly own this outstanding piece of art, grab one of the thirty golden tickets below to be in with the chance of winning it in the soon to be draw.
Thanks for supporting the madness
